Minnesota Vikings New Stadium
Winning is everything.
The Minnesota Vikings are 11-2 going into this Sunday night’s football game. Winning is everything. I remember reading some articles about the possibilities of Brett Favre coming to Minnesota and how either it wasn’t going to make a difference in the final outcome of the season or how his presence was actually going to hurt our win-loss record. Favre has yet to lose a game for us and more so, has leaded us to a few victories. Winning is everything. We would be no better than 8-4 at this point without Favre, which means we would be trailing Green Bay, and also looking at the wild card spot. We would not be talking about a stadium. Favre is a winner and winning is everything.
Winning means everything in sports and maybe even more so in politics. It is great to see the talk of a new stadium come up again with the Vikings winnings ways. I never understood how the Vikings were left out of the Twins/Gophers stadium plans. It looks like the Twins and Gophers received exactly what they wanted even though the designs really limit their use in Minnesota winters. It is now time for the Vikings stadium plans to blast forward. I would enjoy hearing the raves of sportscasters, reporters and national news media covering its inaugural year. I think in this economy it would be a great addition to the whole state of Minnesota.
I have heard some people talk about Erin Henderson testing positive for some banned substances and how that would hurt the stadium effort. I have heard that people are tired about hearing about drugs and outrageous speeding tickets. For those reasons some want to jump off the stadium bandwagon and let the owners “pay for their own damn stadium”. Well to these selfish people (I hesitate calling them fans) I want to say… The stadium is all about Minnesota. It’s all about bringing fun activities and events for everyone to enjoy. Yes, it is and will be a multi-use stadium. It will hold concerts and rallies and be a place to be proud of. The stadium will be a place to bring the family and enjoy its atmosphere.
Lets hope that winning can Win us a new stadium.

Freds, I was considering writing an article with those exact sentiments… but thought I better not because of the whole “too soon” thing. Lets just hope that current and future players can learn from his mistakes.

After naming my new puppy Percy, I thought about what I would name my older dog if I were to name him after a football player… I decided “Pac Man Vick” would suit him well because he’s always in trouble and does NOT like our new puppy
