Harvin And Rice Headline Injury Report
The status of Percy Harvin is not looking good. He has not practiced since December 4th because of an ongoing struggle with migraine headaches. At this point, it seems unlikely that Harvin will be available on Sunday.
Another of the Vikings top wide outs was unable to practice Thursday. Sidney Rice sat out with an illness and his status is unknown.
Limited in practice today were Bernard Berrian (hamstring), Ray Edwards (back), Cedric Griffin (neck), Steve Hutchinson (shoulder), Tyrell Johnson (concussion), Phil Loadholt (shoulder), Karl Paymah (knee, ankle), Visanthe Shiancoe (ribs, foot), John Sullivan (concussion) and Antoine Winfield (foot).
The Vikings would doubtless like to see their injury report shrink in size as the playoffs approach so do not be surprised if they take a conservative approach to using nicked-up players over the next three weeks.
John Sullivan’s concussion presents some interesting scenarios. Given how the Vikings handled concussions suffered by Anthony Herrera and Tyrell Johnson, it would not be too much of a surprise if Sullivan sits out this week. A shuffle would be required on the offensive line, and given Sullivan’s marginal play over the last few weeks, it is conceivable that any change could become permanent.
Let’s hope all these guys get healthy very, very soon.

If they keep Sulivan out, who’s the center?
I’d like to see Cook go in. He’s been a bust so far as RG, let’s see what he can do in his natural position; Center.

Hey Charlie, how ya been? Fran I agree they should try Cook, but I got a feeling they’ll put Herrera at center and Hicks at guard.

I like Johnny’s plan, that puts out best linemen on the field.

Harvin questionable….but sounds like he’s ready to play. I’d keep him off kickoffs but get him back into the offensive flow. Hopefully both of these guys are ready to go. If not, I’m interested in seeing Reynaud get some more pt….he’s got a similar skillset to PH, just not that burst that puts PH in the elite class of the NFL.
