This Says It All

I started doing my “Links of the Week” segment but decided to stop since every single article was basically beating the same dead horse about Monday’s loss.

However, if you venture from the safe confines of Vikings Gab to read any single article, then it should definitely be this article from the ever-talented Vikes Geek.

Here is a taste of what the article has to offer:

By the fourth quarter last night, Vikings’ coaches finally hit on a successful blocking technique. Rather than merely covering one tackle, they either covered both with a tight end on one end or on both ends, or a tight end on one end and a late-releasing back out of the backfield, or they covered one tackle and pulled the running back to pick up the all-but-certain free roam of the defensive end on the opposite side of the line of scrimmage. It was an intelligent move. Alas, the Vikings only employed it long enough to catch the Bears. With the game on the line, the Vikings reverted to their tactics of the first three quarters, leaving Favre open to slaughter.

Seriously, check it out.

Why would you Change somthing that is working for the Offense and you’ve taken over the game… Sorry, But that is Plain Stupidity!!!

And the Vikes Geek has said the same thing about the Safeties, Brinkley,O-line, Coaching.
Somebody on one of the other post said, How about Heath Farwell???

I realize he is smaller, But so was Ed McDaniels, And I’m not saying Farwell is a McDaniels…

Glad you posted this Adam. Vikes Geek is always very good.

This is a great idea….but does that mean Jimmy Kleinsasser can’t be sent on those patterns 20 yards downfield as the primary receiver?

    • bigjohnny84 says:

Jimmy K’s blazing speed doesn’t impress you? I think I could cover Jimmy, I know you could. But I sure wouldnt want him blocking me.

      • fozz44 says:

Exactly….and yet BC let’s the D off the hook by putting him down the field on routes while his left and right tackles are getting a first class ticket to the QB via the bullrush, speed rush, inside stunt, blitz or any other route the defense chooses to take.

Fozz, are you trying to say our probowl LT isnt doing his job very well?

johnny…I was hinting at that, glad you picked up on it….
