The Vikings have held the title of “Best Run Defense” for three consecutive years.
As Vikings Update points out, that title is in danger this year and the team who is most likely to finish on top of the category is none other than the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings are currently ranked 4th in run defense and are 20 yards behind the Steelers, 43 yards behind the Bengals, and 74 yards behind the Packers.
Catching the Steelers and Bengals certainly seems doable, but catching the Packers who have the weak running game of the Cardinals as opponents this week.
The Vikings are playing the Giants who will enter the game with Brandon Jacobs on the sidelines and Ahmad Bradshaw listed as questionable. However, the Vikings will also be without E.J. Henderson, Jimmy Kennedy, and possibly even Pat Williams.
While rankings of these type become less and less important as the post-season draws nearer, it sure would be fun to see the Vikings snatch the #1 ranking away from the Pack.

Adam, Anything that can be taken away from the Packers is a Good thing. It would be nice.
