Friday Injury Report
The only player listed as doubtful for the Vikings is Jimmy Kennedy (thumb).
Questionable are Visanthe Shiancoe (thigh) and Pat Williams (elbow).
Players listed as probable are Steve Hutchinson (shoulder), Antoine Winfield (foot), Eric Frampton (ankle), and John Sullivan (knee).
The Vikings face interesting choices this week, as the game could mean very little depending on how the Cowboys-Eagles matchup turns out three hours later. Chances seem good, however, that the Vikings will treat this as a very important game and utilize all the players that can possibly play.
While Shiancoe and Pat Williams are 50/50, and one could make the argument that they should rest up for the playoffs, I would not be surprised to see both of them on the field. The most likely move for the Vikings is that they move Winfield to the nickel back position, giving Benny Sapp the start.
The Giants are a hurting unit. Brandon Jacobs, Aaron Ross, Chris Canty, Corey Webster, and Kareem McKenzie are all ruled out on Sunday. Questionable are Ahmad Bradshaw, Justin Tuck, Rich Seubert, and Mario Manningham.

Adam, I believe the Vikes have to absolutely go all out in this one. A win could mean a bye, so it could be the equal of two wins. Any other approach would be irresponsible, IMO.
Interesting you suggest AW going to nickel. That would not be my approach, but if they feel that both players are ready for that, it would reduce the issue of ‘toine’s lack of speed right now. I’m not a fan of BSapp, but that’s what we have available, so guess it has to be.

I agree coach, this should be treated as a must-win. It sure would be a shame to see a starter go down with injury though if the Eagles end up winning and the game turns out to be worthless. That being said, they need this win.
AW going to nickel is being reported by many outlets (but I suggested it first). I think their end goal should be getting him into the nickel anyways… it is where he is most comfy/productive, especially if he isn’t 100%, and in 2011 the Vikings cut his salary in half if he is a nickel back.

Good points Adam. It is probably the right thing to do. Its just that a quality corner is among the rarest and most valuable players on a team. Hate to lose that, but as they say, it is what it is. Had no idea about that salary thing, interesting.

Thumbs can be bad, bigj. Freds missed several games with his thumb up his…. Never mind, that was something different. So to answer your question, not sure.
