Links Of The Week

You know the drill.  Other people write stuff, I point you in their direction, you read what they got to say about the Vikes, you come back here and let me know what you thought:

Have at it:

  • Hey!  The Daily Norseman stole my headline!  I’m honored.
  • The Vikings have three possible opponents for their first playoff game.  Which would you choose if you could?
  • A look at how Brett Favre’s season stacks up against greats of Vikings past.
  • Leslie Frazier is thought to be on Buffalo’s short list of head coaching candidates.  Does this mean we will blitz more than three times a game next year?
  • Are the Vikings back on track?
  • Sidney Rice calls his Pro Bowl selection an “awesome feeling.”
  • Favre, Greenway, and Longwell got the game balls this week at one of my favorite sites.
  • Seeing the Vikes do some quality tackling was a welcome change for at least one blogger.
  • The Viking coaches made a number of adjustments on Sunday that worked.
  • My favorite segment over at The Viking Age are “10 Points.”  This week’s edition is no different.
  • Brett Favre hit a whole lot of milestones this season.
  • There are many reasons that NFC foes do not want to come to Minnesota in the playoffs.  Number one on that list?  For fear that they might run into these guys:

SI had a big article written up about Ian Johnson this week, it was probably 2 parts about his marriage/proposal to 1 part about Vikings stuff. A few highlights:

-Ian does not know how to describe his job, he plays in the NFL…except he doesn’t
-He and his wife watch all the games in their month-to-month apartment on a rented couch
-Nafahu Tahi pays Johnson to stay late a few times to week to hold blocking pads and do other Misc drills
-On coming to MN over Dallas after not being drafted: AP would be a great athlete to learn from, Chester is a consumate pro. He wants to learn from them
-He makes soemething like $5200 a week
-He ran the 2nd fastest time for RB at the combine, and put up 225 lbs 22+ times during the benchpress

Good article, worth a link if one were available.

Thanks for all your work on this stuff Adam!
