Some Good News

I think I can safely say that all Vikings fans are hoping for a speedy recovery for E.J. Henderson.

Well, there is little word on how long the injury could sideline Henderson, but at the very least his spirits are up and he’s still trying to contribute to his team.  This speaks a lot to Henderson’s leadership role on the team, because many players become completely disconnected from their team once they face a season ending injury (see: Clinton Portis).

Henderson has been spotted around Winter Park on a motorized scooter and seems to be remaining positive.

“I have not seen him this week,” Childress said. “He was going to have to be non-weight bearing for at least six weeks. But he’s been around the facility with a smile on his face. You always enjoy his presence here. He gets out to practice all the time. He hasn’t disappeared off the face of the Earth.”

Good for EJ, hopefully he can mentor Jasper through the playoffs. Jasper has said EJ is his mentor.

    Johnny,
I said last month when he got hurt he would be back, This doesn’t surprise me at all, E.J. is everything you want in a player and a person.

Can’t wait to see him step back on the field!!!
