Draft Position Is Set

With a 12-4 regular season record, combined with a loss in the NFC Championship, the Vikings now know their position in the 2010 NFL Draft.

They will be drafting 30th.

The Vikings have a full arsenal of draft picks, one in each round, and will probably receive one compensatory pick in the fifth or sixth round for letting Matt Birk leave in free agency.  They likely would have received two compensatory picks but their signing of Karl Paymah will negate the fact that they let Darren Sharper walk in free agency.

At some point this week, I will update my mock draft to reflect this position.
