Bears Want To Interview Rogers

Kevin Rogers, the Vikings quarterbacks coach, is the most recent target for the Bears in their seemingly endless campaign to hire an offensive coordinator.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears have requested permission to speak with Rogers and the Vikings have yet to give an answer.  The Vikings can deny the request as Rogers is currently under contract with the team.  The Packers declined a request for the Bears to interview their quarterbacks coach, Tom Clements.

One has to wonder if the Bears are having trouble finding an offensive coordinator simply because Lovie Smith is considered a lame duck coach.  In other words, why take a job if you think there is a good chance you’ll be looking for a new one at this time of next year?
