Vikings Drop Like Flies

Ten Vikings were set to play in this year’s Pro Bowl in Miami.

Given that they played a very rough game just days before the Pro Bowl, many Vikings are opting to stay away.

So far Sidney Rice, Brett Favre, Percy Harvin, Kevin Williams, and Antoine Winfield have pulled out of the game for various reasons.

That leaves five Vikings still slated to play in a meaningless scrimmage this weekend.  The ones still expected to participate are Adrian “high and tight” Peterson, Jared “Bushrod’s BFF” Allen, Bryant “revolving door” McKinnie, Steve Hutchinson, and Heath Farwell.

Can you tell there are a few players on this team that I’m still a little angry with?

Good Morning Adam!!! LOL Get over it! It doesn’t pay to stew over the game. Remember …………. We are Viking fans and after years and years of disappointing season ending games, this was to be expected. Yes ……… we would finally like to see a different ending ……… especially a win in the Super Bowl, but I have learned to let it go. It’s just not worth it to develop an ulcer or some other peculiar ailment, just because your team didn’t perform up to our expectations.

I am disappointed that Sidney and Percy will not play in this game. It’s an honor to be picked, and if you can play, I think you should. Antoine has been injured for the last half of the season and Brett, how could you blame him, must be sore as hell. I wouldn’t think he would get out of bed for a month. Even Hutch, who’s been injured the whole season is going to show up. Good for him. Hopefully his offseason surgery will return him to top form for next season, and he will be opening holes for “high and tight” AP.

Hopefully, Brett will recover from his aches and pains, and come back to lead this team to a superbowl, although next years schedule will not be as conducive to wins as this years was. This was their best chance and for some reason, it was not meant to be. Seems to be the Vikings destiny. Some day ….. but maybe not in my lifetime. LOL

      Dirt,
Counldn’t say it better myself, I’m done being stewed today lol, I’m sure Poor Brett is hurting alot worse,I think Percy and Sidney didn’t figure on playing if they won, Being the Pro was played a week before the Super Bowl,I think it was too painful mentially for them. They need to move the Pro Bowl back the way it was. This was one of their dumb moves. Your right, the schedule was in their favor this year,Like to see Brett come back and win it the hard way!!! I told my wife probably not in my lifetime Lol.

I bet there’s alot of guys that feel that way, Old and Young…

I cannot…repeat…CANNOT believe I’m already talking about this.

But, I want to make a point about Mckinnie and the upcoming draft.

In the post-game after that tough loss, Childress mentioned with absolute ice in his voice the many times Favre was hit in that game.

I’d keep an eye on Mckinnie in the days leading up to the draft. I don’t think he’ll be a Viking next season.

    Just a hunch.

Also, I’ve turned the corner on Pike. Adam, youre right. That has to be our guy.
