NFL Says McCray Should Have Been Flagged

As if anybody was going to get us to believe otherwise, the NFL is now admitting that Bobby McCray’s low hit on Brett Favre should have been a 15 yard and should have negated Brett Favre’s first interception of the game.

In other words, the penalty would have been huge.

“It is the kind of hit that we want called because, clearly, we’re trying to protect the knees,” Mike Pereira said on NFL Network.

I believe if the Saints were willing to attack Favre in their game plan, the refs should have been just as willing to throw the flag! The Saints took a chance and they were victorious in that respect. And even though they won… there is a difference between winning and having the other team lose. The Saints didn’t win. The Vikings lost! I’ll bet the refs don’t let them do that to pretty-boy Peyton!

    No they won’t,
Will Smith said it was in their gameplan to get to Brett and make him get out of his gameplan.

I don’t see the Saints getting to Manning near as much as they did Brett…
    I don’t see them beating the Colts…
    We will see.

More proof to refs steeling the game.

I can’t blame this loss on the refs, because we had plenty of chances to win. That said, of all the calls that were questioned, this is the one that left me screaming at the TV. As much as the refs normally try to protect Favre, they really screwed up on this one. As I saw someone post earlier, if Jared Allen would’ve made that hit there would be 3 flags laying on him.

I have to agree with you, Even with the Refs, They had plenty of chances…

Time to start focasing on next year, It was a good and enjoyable run…

Oh boo hoo, get over it, the Vikings choked and didn’t deserve win. Five turn overs, that is the quickest way to lose a game and JV the Saints did win the game, stop trying to demean them. I for one am glad the Vikings lost, they brought this upon themselves by signing that team cancer Brett Favre.

  6. Christian T says:

Why did the Saints deserve the win? The Vikings gave them the ball over and over yet they couldn’t take the game til the refs basically took the ball and threw it through the uprights for them
