When I first saw the hideous femur injury suffered versus the Arizona Cardinals, the first words out of my mouth were, “He is finished! There is no way Henderson will ever suit up to play in the NFL again.”
I am delighted to see that I may have been wrong in my original assessment as the Star Tribune says E.J. Henderson continues his recovery from the fractured left femur he suffered in a December loss at Arizona, and the Vikings hope the middle linebacker can begin working out this spring. Henderson has been at Winter Park on a nearly daily basis continuing his rehabilitation from the gruesome injury.
”I tell one thing about E.J. Henderson, there is not a guy in the world who wants to play more and come back from that injury,” said Rick Spielman, Vikings vice president of player personnel. “I was [at Winter Park on Friday], and he was the first one in trying to get back from that. What hopefully will be scheduled is potentially he’ll starting working out in May to try to see where he’s at.”
No one is pulling for this guy harder than I am. Go get ‘em E.J. – See you in August!

Chris, I really hope he’s ready to start in May too.
Charlie, I think EJ has that special desire to play so if anyone in the world can make it back it’s him.
Johnny, I wish McKinnie had half his desire and heart, Offensive Tackle position would be alot better…
Coach Boynton
Speaking of MLB, Do you feel Jasper’s performance improved enough that If E.J. took a little more time to get on the field in 2010, That the team would go with him??? And do you think if not, They would look at a couple Restricted FA’S, Maybe DeMeco Ryans of the Texians, Barrett Ruud of the Bucs or someone else??? I wouldn’t think they could get anyone in the draft better than him picking 30th???
Would really like your thoughts Coach…
