Vikings Re-Sign Greg Lewis
I just wanted to say “thanks” to all of the great readers of VG for allowing me to take a three-day break without feeling too guilty. I read all of the comments and thanks for the kind words, yes we had a great time, Fran I need to ask you a question, Freds needs a geography and U.S. History class, G.P. can indeed hold his own, and now I’m back at it…
It’ll take me a while to get caught up on stuff, but it seems important that the first thing I mention is the Vikings only transaction (I think) made while I was out of the “office.”
The Vikings re-signed wide out Greg Lewis to a one year contract.
While I thought they would let him walk in free agency (got one wrong already) it is not too much of a surprise. The Vikings may be satisfied with their arsenal of weapons and be aiming for continuity.
While the contract given to Lewis likely won’t make many headlines, it is important because this means we can almost certainly cross wide out off of the Vikings “needs list” for the upcoming draft… unless they trade Bernard Berrian.
Okay, now give me some time and make sure to check back… I am well rested and ready knock out a great many stories.

thanks Charlie, and yes Special teams surely had a lot to do with it.

I read your latest post and it seems you want to ask me a question but I didn’t see one.
Don’t worry Adam, if you were going to ask if Alaska was traded to Canada while you were gone, the answer is no.
Just another nasty rumor started by Freds!

Actually Fran, I was hoping you could give me some advice.
What I am looking for is a truly trust-worthy mechanic up in your neck of the woods. The local scene features a grand total of one mechanic, and ever since yours truly discovered him using used parts and charging me for new parts… well, lets just say I am now eighty-sixed from the only auto shop in town.
I figured your knowledge of the Valley area and infinite wisdom may reveal a shop one can go to and not feel like one just got royally ripped off. any tips?

Well my “neck of the woods” consists of Anchorage these days. Here, I use Big O Automotive. These guys are extremely honest but a little spendy. They have never done anything to my autos that didn’t need to be done and it’s always done in a timely manner.
There is also a little outfit in Peters Creek that I use called J&S auto. They’re pretty good too.
As far as the Copper Valley, I got nothing!

Yeah, sorry, I should’ve clarified… I was thinking somewhere in Anchorage… if you recommend Big O then Big O it is.
I want to build a rapport with someone trust worthy up there.

Big O is good, you won’t be sorry. Talk to Jeff and explain what you’re doing.

Glad you’re back Adam. I dont know how many times I went through your blogroll looking for things that you usually post but it was alot. Keep up the good work my good man. It will be interesting to see what Lewis’s contract consists of. I’ll bet it’s not alot of money though.

Glad that you’re glad I’m back, Johnny
Lewis probably took the vet minimum, maybe with some sort of built in incentive… he knew he wouldn’t generate much interest so decided to stay where he is apprecaited…
I’ll bet he didn’t enjoy being a training camp cut last year.

I hope the Vikes dont cut him at training camp this year. Sounds like he’s a pretty good dude.
