Okay, everyone, thanks for coming to the first ever Vikings Gab Live Mock Draft!

Here is how it is going to work:

  • Picks will be determined by votes from the readers, one at a time.  You will cast your vote when I post a new poll for each pick.  I will pick some of the best comments about each pick to accompany the “summary” when I compile the final product.
  • I can only list six choices of players, so if I have not listed a player that you think should be included then type a comment that is along the lines of “Hey, Adam!  Put Joe Haden in there instead of Bruce Campbell!”  If enough people agree then I will start the poll over again with the new player included.
  • The first pick will be at 4:00 p.m.  Each pick will go on for about two to three minutes, or until it becomes obviously clear who you all have picked.
  • The first time you comment, there will be a delay from the time you press send to the time you see your comment appear.  Don’t leave!  I will approve the first 30 readers to be able to post unmoderated.  After 30, I will have to approve comments individually so more delays will occur.  As long as there are no inappropriate comments, readers will see all their comments get posted… that’s my promise.
  • Please pick a screen name and stick with that one for the duration of the event.  Like I said, I can only approve 30 readers to comment unmoderated and if you post under multiple screen names then that takes up multiple spots.
  • It never seems to fail that when I host a Live Chat is when my computer goes bonkers on me.  If you don’t hear from me for a period of time, then I am likely frantically trying to restart the old machine and log back on.  Please be patient.
