Reports have surfaced that the Browns decided to trade quarterback Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos.

I was not too surprised to hear about the trade.

When I heard what the Browns received in compensation, however, my jaw hit the floor.

The Broncos obtained Quinn for fullback Peyton Hillis, a 2011 sixth round draft pick, and a 2012 conditional draft pick.

For a potential franchise freaking quarterback!

My question at this moment is where the hell were the Vikings on this one!?!

If someone would have told me the Vikings could have had Brady Quinn replace Tarvaris Jackson on this roster and only have to give up Fahu Tahi, a 2011 fifth round pick, and a 2012 conditional pick I would have shouted “go for it!” from my roof top.

Quinn has drawn plenty of criticism, but he has shown enough flashes at points in his short career to still hold out hope that he could be a solid starter in the NFL if placed in better surroundings than he had in Cleveland.

We’ll find out what the kid can do, now, and it will start with his ability to beat out Kyle Orton for a starting job in Denver.
