We didn't do a live chat during the Rams game... I was on a flight to minnesota during that one. Maybe he did that in a different game, can't remember.

I remember that play on the live-chat. And how the numbers were going to go up because nobody was worried about tahi.

Interesting take.

I think giving a grade of some sort is more than anybody else does (including the NFL) when it comes to grading blocking.

I KNOW I didn't like Tahi's blocking this year... but didn't see enough of McKie to make an assessment of my own, thus I decided to use PFF as a reference for this article.

haha, you pointing that out made me double check... his #'s were skewed by his 32 yard scramble against the Rams (I think it was the Rams).

Tahi with a 4.1 average per catch? That is certainly not true. He's the master at turning 6 yard gains into 1 yard losses on catches.

It seems PFF does try to do an in depth job at rating players. But while reading their rating rules I saw this-

What we definitely DO NOT do is raise or lower the grading because we're not sure. Giving -0.5 rather than -1 or -1.5 because you can't be certain what went on is wrong. The correct score is 0.

I disagree.
Thats like saying you're not sure about a hit in baseball, and giving the guy an 0 for 0 in the box score. He either got a hit or he didnt.

I understand football is different, but the guy either did his job or he did not. Ya gotta give some kinda score for the play, or find another way.
