Vikings Show Interest In Another Big DB

I passed along last week that the Vikings were going to host cornerback/safety Chris Cook to a private workout.  I’m not sure if that workout has happened yet or not, but I did hear that his pro day went pretty poorly.

But never fear, another giant defensive back is here!

There are rumors floating around that the Vikings have interest in Vanderbilt cornerback Myron Lewis, who stands at 6′ 2″ and weighs and 200 lbs.  And, according to Lewis himself, “Just having long arms is big.”

Lewis had a bit of drop off in production his last year, but in 2008 he managed 76 tackles, seven for a loss, five sacks, six disrupted passes, and five interceptions.

There is no word yet as to if the Vikings have scheduled a visit with Lewis.  He currently projects as a fourth or fifth round prospect.
