Hall-Of-Famer’s Son Makes A Visit

The son of Hall-of-Fame center Bruce Matthews will be one player that the Vikings bring in for a visit prior to the NFL Draft, according to a subscription-only article at scout.com.

Texas A&M center Kevin Matthews weighs 298 pounds and stand at 6 foot 3 inches tall.

Known for using his hands to beat opponents and also as solid pass blocker who does well against bull rushes, this big-man is very different from current starter John Sullivan.  In a lot of ways, Matthews lack of mobility make him a tough fit for the Vikings zone blocking scheme, but so do three-fifths of their current starters.

Matthews is expected to be a late round pick or possibly even go undrafted.

I wish Childo would just shitcan that zone blocking scheme. It’s so obvious that’s not the best use of our current line.
