Two Mock Updates In As Many Days

I know, I know… “but Adam, you just updated it yesterday!  What on Earth could possibly have changed!?!”

Well, nothing has really changed, but I did have a chance to delve a little deeper into things this time and thus  there is a little more thought put into this one.  Also, I added a third round.

I still have Jimmy Clausen going to the Rams first overall.  The Rams just released Marc Bulger who saw his career enter the gutter after not being able to withstand an NFL-style pounding.  You know who has hurt his shoulder the last two times he was hit?  Sam Bradford.  I really think that over the next couple of weeks the talk is going to transition from Bradford to Clausen when it comes to the Rams’ choice… just wait and see.

Also, I previously was not too high on the choice of Maurkice Pouncey in the first round for the Vikings.  I’ve edged away from that stance a little.  Given the incredible depth in this draft class at other areas of need (corner, running back, defensive tackle) and Pouncey’s ability to push both John Sullivan and Anthony Herrera… well, I caved and he is now the Vikings choice in my mock.  Admittedly, a lot of that had to do with me looking at Brian Price a little closer and being thoroughly unimpressed.

So click “2010 mock draft” at the top of this screen and enjoy!

Adam, There is nothing wrong with being on the ball and constantly thinking…

I like the idea of pushing Sully and Herrera, I really want to see more out of the Interior Line, that pick would do it…

    AK –

You’re a damn kook! Do you do make these changes just to see if you can get your old pal Fragile to melt down? Freds knows it’s true. Here we go:

    1) Who in the hell would draft Bradford with the 5th pick (Chiefs) to play back up? Didn’t KC just pay the QB from New England a ton of scratch just last year? A wasted pick! The Chiefs need O line help bad…real bad.

    2) Tebow – I see you’ve moved you’re guy back into the first round, just to irritate Freds. Johnny should be pleased with that. Fred is sticking with the fact that he will be lucky at a second round pick, probably an early third.

    3) McCoy – 38th pick. He’s moving on up! This is a big change for you. You and Mel Kiper have dinner last night?

    4) “Danish eating” Cody – Moved into the first round. I think you’re right on this one. This guy will be good, I hope he slides and ends up wearing purple.

Thanks for the target practice. It’s so easy being critical when Fred is producing nothing.

    Keep up the good work.

    • Adam Warwas says:

      1. The Chiefs would love to land Bradford and deal Cassell, I think… which would perhaps give them another pick to use on the O-Line.

      2. Tebow goes in the first… I’m sticking with it. But I think it will be because a team trades up to get him from the early second round.

      3. I disagree with people who think McCoy is worhty of a first or second rounder, but I fear that those people are out there and will act on that come draft day. I jsut hope it isn’t us.

      4. I really like Cody, too. I wouldn’t be totally disappointed if he was our first rounder. I also suspect that he may go even earlier than i have him going.

You’re welcome for the target practice! I’m a glutton for the punishment 🙂

Colt McCoy in the first not Tebow. Mel Kiper was saying he thinks Tebow will never be A NFL QB. He thinks he will become a Hback and wildcat qb. He thinks round 3 is about right for Tebow.
