First Round Does Not Disappoint

Wow.

After a long night of meetings for yours truly, I had the exciting task of getting back to my hotel room and finding out how things went down.

It isn’t quite the same as having been able to watch it live, but it appears like the first round was quite exciting.  Let’s take a look at some interesting points:

  • Yours truly managed to only get three picks correct in my 2010 mock draft.
  • Despite me insisting that Jimmy Clausen was the top quarterback in this class, he is still on the board tonight.  I’m disappointed that Clausen fell that far, but excited about the possibility of him ending up in purple.
  • The Raiders taking Rolando McClain at #8 and the Jaguars taking Tyson Alualu at #10 were pretty surprising to me.
  • The Seahawks and the Niners are my picks for best first day of the draft.  They made out like bandits.
  • Demaryius Thomas was the first wide out off the board in what should be considered a considerable upset after Dez Bryant fell to the Cowboys at #24.
  • In case you haven’t heard, Tim Tebow went in the first round.  That answers that.

Okay, I’m going to get working on my Vikings stories which will be posted shortly.

  1. B. Grant says:

I wish anyone could explain why the Broncos wanted Tim Tebow. Why would you acquire Quinn and then draft Tebow? Stay tuned I guess.
