Losing That Third Rounder Stings
Posted by Adam Warwas on April 23rd, 2010 in 2009 NFL Draft, 2010 Offseason, Features, Main, Opinions
In the previous post, I discussed how disappointing it was that the Vikings had to lose their third round pick in order to trade up and obtain Toby Gerhart.
That thought stings a little more after looking at the four players selected immediately after that pick, all of whom I was very hopeful might end up in purple.
The Saints selected tight end Jimmy Graham, the Bengals drafted cornerback Brandon Ghee, the Titans selected linebacker Rennie Curran, and the Falcons selected one of my favorite guards in this draft, Mike Johnson.
I am not disappointed that the Vikings drafted Toby Gerhart, but I am a bit disappointed in what they had to give up in order to get the job done. The Vikes could have had their choice of these players.

No Rennie equals major disappointment.

Not so, we drafted a LB from Oklahoma a few years back that had alot of tackles and that was a stud we thought, blew his knee and have not heard from him since. Reminds me of this LB from Geogia. Wore #57. somebody help me.
Go Vikes
