In a week where I have had trouble keeping the site updated to the extent that i strive for, there is always one surefire way to get you all caught up on the Vikings news.
So, not only is the “links of the week” a popular segment here at Vikings Gab… it also bails me out when I’m slacking. Here we go:
- The Viking Ship gives a great look at some of the issues surrounding the suddenly crowded backfield.
- Vikings UK takes a look at a number of issues, including the recent stadium push.
- From the looks of this article over at Viking Nation, even those who like Brett Favre are tiring of the annual drama surrounding him.
- Lemke’s Lot seems to think there is still a chance that quarterback Ryan Perrilloux ends up getting an offer from the Vikes before the offseason is over.
- A touching look at the recently deceased Nick Rogers.
- Some information about each of the Vikings 2010 draft picks.
- A comprehensive look at how new additions influence the Vikings roster.
- The Vikings draft class in a nutshell.
- Some chatter about moving Winfield or Griffin to safety, trading Ray Edwards, and some remaining free agents.
- PJD’s lewd, crude, and “R-rated” article about Tim Pawlenty has started quite the conversation.
- A rundown of recent events, but the meat of this article is at the end and in the form of a classic joke worth sharing.
- What is the cost of always being a bad NFL team?
- And now, here you go with another addition to the vault of Jared-Allen-redneck-humor videos:

Mr Warwas,
One would hope you would distance your site from such low brow trash as what is printed in PJD. I hate to sound prude, but you pointing your readers to such language is not appropriate. Please resist the temptation to lower the standards bar of your fine site to the vulgar standards of others.
Your site has been a good source for Viking news and some good laughs and fun as written by some of your blog participants, but the vulgarity of PJD is far below your displayed standards.
Thank you.
I don’t disagree with that. It’s not for everyone, obviously, and I think Adam has made that clear to people before he posts a link. However, it does appeal to some people and I can’t thank Adam enough for providing it as an option to his readership, regardless of whether they decide to go there or not. I think he has always strived to be comprehensive in his Vikings blog/internet coverage without censorship or favoritism (he still links to Access Vikings, if you know what I’m saying) and he continues to do that by linking to PJD or other abbrasive sites. Good for him.
We all get to make choices in life, just like the legislature is doing right now, and then we all live with the consequences.
Interesting thoughts, guys. This is something I am going to re-evaluate and consider both arguments. JimJ, please email me at adam@vikingsgab.com and we’ll talk about this a little further. Thanks.
That Jared Allen video was kinda lame.
I think you can certainly keep the PJD links up, maybe with a *explicit language* or something. Can be quite entertaining at times.
