Another (probably meaningless) Ruling Coming On Friday

At ten in the morning on Friday, Judge Gary Larson is expected to give his latest ruling in regards to the StarCaps case.

Pat and Kevin Williams are attempting to get the court to extend a ruling that temporarily prohibited the NFL from imposing their four game suspensions until proceedings were finished.  They are asking for the extension because they are trying to appeal the latest decision which would result in the suspensions being allowed.

While the Vikings will not be the same without their feared “WilliamsWall” in the middle of their defense, Brad Childress provided some quotes which speak pretty well to his faith in the current depth on the team.

“We’ve always kind of had that,” Childress said when asked about a Plan B that would include Fred Evans, Jimmy Kennedy and Letroy Guion. “It’s not like we are going to come out and defensive tackles are going to drop out of the sky.

“There’s the guys on our football team and they understand with the number of guys that we have that those will be the first guys to step up. Will we need to go out and grab somebody else? That remains to be seen. Guion is maturing in there. Jimmy Kennedy, obviously, did a great job for us last year. Fred Evans played a little bit more in the system. Those are good players.”

Meanwhile, Judd Zulgad passed along a statement from NFL spokesman Greg Aiello addressing the rumors that the suspensions of the two players could be staggered to lessen the blow.

“There is no precedent for it,” says Aiello.
