ESPN reports Favre had ankle surgery today

If the big issue with Brett Favre playing in 2010 was having surgery on his ankle, then count him in as the QB for the Vikings this upcoming season. This after word from ESPN that Favre underwent arthroscopic left ankle surgery. It’s the ankle that was beat up during the Vikings loss in the NFC Title game in New Orleans.

Favre had said that he had to have ankle surgery if he wanted to play in 2010, but there was no word Friday about his playing career, though a betting man would have to think that the surgery would mean he’s on his way back to the club.

Dr. James Andrews cleaned up scar tissue in Favre’s ankle on Friday morning to increase his range of motion, according to Favre, who turns 41 in October, said on April 30th that he had talked to Andrews over the phone about his injured ankle.

This is the best news to come this offseason if true ~ This will be bigger than any free agent or draft pick the Vikings could have added ~ Looks like I may be getting my Sunday Ticket out of the way this month ~

Thanks for the update ~ Now if we can just find some real proof ~ ESPN hasn’t been at the top of their game for a while now ~
