Posted in Monday turned out to be a day featuring a flurry of activity out of Winter Park.
After minicamp wrapped up and Ray Edwards signed his RFA tender, the Vikings went to work tweaking the roster.
The started by signing rookie tight end linebacker (thanks for the fix, Johnny) Nate Triplett, who was selected in the 5th round. Terms of his rookie deal are not yet available. (UPDATE: According to Judd Zulgad’s Twitter post, the deal is for four years)
The team also decided to part ways with half-a-dozen street free agents. The players released today were center Eddie Adamski, offensive tackle Matt Hanson, running back James Johnson, wide out Aaron Rhea, cornerback Angelo Williams and offensive tackle Marlon Winn.
While nothing that occurred today is overly surprising (or exciting), it is nice to see some news coming our way.

No Johnny, this is all Chillys plan. To have interchangable parts. We already have a QB as a WR (Webb). A LB as a FB (D’Imperio). A Diva for a QB (Favre, as well as a joke for a QB (TJack). A WR as a RB (Reynaud). A bouncer for a OT (Mckinnie). A musician as a punter. Etc.
