Monday turned out to be a day featuring a flurry of activity out of Winter Park. After minicamp wrapped up and Ray Edwards signed his RFA tender, the Vikings went to work tweaking the roster. The started by signing rookie tight end linebacker (thanks for the fix, Johnny) Nate Triplett, who was selected in the 5th [...]

Edwards Is A Viking Again
As expected, Ray Edwards is officially on the Vikings roster again. Today, he signed his RFA tender which is essentially a one year contract worth $2.521 million. Edwards has not been shy about expressing his displeasure in regards to the Collective Bargaining Agreement’s wording that kept him from hitting the open market this year.
Rosenfels Falls Further Than Expected
In an earlier post, I talked about how the Vikings quarterbacks (not counting Brett Favre, who was absent from minicamp) stacked up against each other this weekend. Here is my ammended depth chart for the position: 1. Tarvaris Jackson 2. Joe Webb 3. R.J. Archer 4. Sage Rosenfels That’s right, according to Judd Zulgad of [...]
MLB Jasper Brinkley Showing Improvement
Pro Football Weekly reports that MLB Jasper Brinkley is showing improvement: Vikings MLB Jasper Brinkley, who showed steady improvement in replacing E.J. Henderson last season, has had a nice offseason. The defensive coaches appear comfortable with Brinkley in the starting lineup if Henderson is not able to return immediately, although Henderson is a defensive leader [...]
Early QB Drama

The late draft pick was originally slated to try and crack the depth chart [...]
Minicamp Under Way

From Peterson’s absence to EJ Henderson’s progress to a battle in the backfield, Seifert has all of the news: EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — I did my best to keep an eye on your preferred targets during the Minnesota Vikings‘ opening [...]
Back At It (I Hope)
Well, after serving my three week suspension for violating Gridiron Gab’s personal conduct policy (kidding) I am back at. The truth is, I needed a little break from Gabbing in order to get caught up with some personal stuff and also to enjoy a bit of what summer time has to offer. However, I am [...]
Harvin Adds Muscle, Hoping to Put Migrane Headaches Behind Him
Second-year wide out Percy Harvin is hoping to have a big second season for the Vikings, as reports say that he has added about 12 pounds of muscle to his 5-foot-11 frame while working out at home in Florida. This is a big deal as he’ll be able to take on defensive backs better, and [...]
Childress Not Happy With Peterson Missing Minicamp
Adrian Peterson is not gaining a lot of love today from coach Brad Childress. The star running back missed minicamp for the Vikings Friday as he gets ready to take in an event in his honor in his hometown – “Adrian Peterson Day.” “I just know that there’s a bunch of guys here,” Childress said. [...]
Position Battles – Defensive Line
So here is the second installment of an in depth look at who will (in my opinion) be making the roster this year. Today I feel like looking at the defensive line. In the opinion of most, we have one of the, if not THE, best D-lines in the NFL. Well we have the stats [...]
