Sid’s got hipsues…

Via: Drew Rosenhaus on Twitter

Agent Drew Rosenhaus revealed Thursday that Sidney Rice is still dealing with a lingering hip injury sustained during the playoffs in January.

This is the first I’ve heard of Rice’s hip injury, so the severity of it has to be in question. Rice doesn’t believe that the hip will require surgery, otherwise I’m sure he’d of had it by now. He hopes to be fully healthy for the start of the season. While this does explain Rice’s absence from Larry Fitzgerald’s summer camp (which Cris Carter has made a huge issue of, even saying Rice will disappear this year). It is concerning to me that he still is hurting after this long, but the kid has put on 10 lbs of muscle (or so he and Chilli say, he was also at the Mandatory camp, so I doubt its too bad. Still, something to keep an eye on.

Happened in January? Cmon Sid, one good year and already gettin a bit lazy?
Ah well…long as he shows up for camp in good shape and is ready to roll. Thats all that matters. C.Carter has his way of talking to these young players, sometimes he gets a little over the top. Use that as motivation Sid, we’ve got another good shot at this thing. But we need you to make that happen.
