Look For Some Action This Week

This week may not be the most exciting in Vikings history, but don’t be surprised if there is a pleasant increase in the amount of Vikings related news this week.

First, it is thought that guard Chester Pitts will be working out for NFL teams sometime quite soon.  The Vikings are thought to be one of the front runners for his services.

Also, the Vikings are expected to increase the amount of rookies that are signed to deals.  They have only signed linebacker Nate Triplett and fullback Ryan D’Imperio to date.

That leaves cornerback Chris Cook, running back Toby Gerhart, defensive end Everson Griffen, offensive lineman Chris DeGeare, quarterback Joe Webb, and tight end Mickey Shuler.

At least this will give us a reason to talk about players besides Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre, eh?

I’m guessing Chester Pitts goes into RG spot if healthy, yes? Leaves Herrera to be the versatile lineman with Cook and Sullivan, maybe? Where does that leave DeGeare? Haven’t heard much about him throughout the summer.

Get those guys signed, its almost football season. Just another 53 days.
    53, hmmm…53 Mick Tingelhoff days!
Mick was great, should be in the HOF.
He was named All Pro seven consecutive seasons and was named to the Pro Bowl team six consecutive years from 1964 to 1969. Started every game for 17 consecutive years! That #53 is now retired for the Vikes.
