Favre to Practice Today; Maybe Play Sunday

If there ever was confirmation of #4 taking the field today, it was confirmed via the Vikings official website, and Judd Zulgad just tweeted about it a few minutes ago: Vikings website confirms that Favre will practice today. Can’t say I’m surprised. I think he will play a series or two Sunday.

Favre Arrives; The Threesome Does The Job Of Getting Him to Comeback

“Favre Watch 2010″ seems to be drawing to a close, as all reports indicate that Brett is back, and will be ready to go on Thursday, September 9th when the Vikings take on the Saints in the season opener Kickoff game on NBC. Here’s the latest from the Star Tribune on the comeback: Favre flew [...]

Rumors Fly Of Favre Return Today

Here we go again. On the same day that Jared Allen, Ryan Longwell, and Steve Hutchinson reportedly headed to Mississippi to talk with Brett Favre, it looks like rumors are heating up that Favre will announce his return today. Favre’s own official website had this to say: “Stay tuned for breaking news from the Minnesota [...]

Adam Trash Talks With The PackerRanter

Last season I began doing a “trash talk” segment every week with a blogger from the upcoming opponent, and it was quite the fun exercise.  My first (and favorite) venture into this feature was with Robert Greenfield over at PackerRanter.com.  Thanks to the Vikings whooping the Packers twice last year, I never really had to [...]

As Cuts Approach, Emphasis Should Be On Special Teams

Well, I finally got a chance to fully review the Rams preseason game, and there was a lot of good stuff to report (which most of you already touched on in the comments sections).  The offense created some highlights despite the absence of the star players and the defense allowed the Rams absolutely no points. [...]

‘The Sick One’ Is Back

After the death of his grandmother and another battle with migraines kept him out of most of training camp and the first preseason game, Percy Harvin has rejoined the Vikings. This is good news for anyone that has followed the Vikings training camp woes, particularly on offense. Getting Sidney Rice and Brett Favre to practice [...]

Did the Vikings Really Want Jeff Garcia Just in Case?

In a rather strange turn of events, PFT reports that none other than Jeff Garcia was tapped to be the fallback for Vikings QB Brett Favre should the future Hall of Fame QB retire. Former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia has decided to join the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks. But before making the decision to join the [...]

Vikings Beat The Rams, 28-7

The Vikings opened the preseason by routing the Rams by a score of 28 to 7.  The Rams offense never scored (it was a special teams touchdown) and all of the Vikings touchdowns came through the air. Soon, I will have some complete analysis of the game available to you all, but for now here [...]

Coach B returns from Hiatus

I’m back and badder then ever. Did anyone actually miss me? Let me start out by saying first and foremost… Favre WILL be playing QB for the Minnesota Vikings this season. No great revelation there. A recent poll asked NFL fans if Favre will stay retired, and a whopping 89 % said “No”. The question [...]

Weekend Discussion: Roll Call

First, I want to say that there will be no live chat for Saturday’s game.  The decision wasn’t easy, but it is a preseason game, after all, and there are only so many days to go fishing before the regular season takes priority over everything short of the birth of my child. Okay, now onto [...]
