Peterson Gets NFC’s Top Honors

Adrian Peterson showed a good deal of willingness to put the Vikings offense on his back when they took on the Lions on Sunday.

He averaged seven yards per carry as he rumbled to 160 yards, 80 of which came on one log touchdown play.  He also had five catches for 30 yards in the 24-10 Vikings victory.

The NFL announced Tuesday that Peterson’s performance made him the NFC’s top offensive player.

This is the fourth time Peterson has won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award in his career.
