Welcome To The Rocktober Revenge Tour

Just what the Vikings needed:  More Storylines.

Putting aside whether or not this trade will jump start a struggling passing game or if the move will blow up in the face of the Vikings, there is little doubt that October is going to come and go in dramatic fashion.

On Monday Night the Vikings will play Brett Favre’s former team the New York Jets.  The Jets may also get Darrell Revis back on the field.  Revis and Randy Moss have an ongoing feud that will get tested once again.

On October 17th the team will then host a Cowboys team that is in need of wins about as badly as the Vikings.  Also, if you recall, we whooped their butts in the playoffs last year which included a last minute touchdown pass.  The final touchdown was deemed as “classless” by team leader Keith Brooking, and he promised to put a big red circle around this game on his calendar.

On October 24th the team will travel to Green Bay which is always a grudge match no matter what the circumstances.  This year should be no different with the Packers being the media darling of the year and Favre still trying to haunt them.

Then comes a Halloween bash on the east coast, as Randy Moss will return to Boston to take on the team he departed from only hours ago, the New England Patriots.

One thing is for sure…  October will be exciting.

Yep going 2-2 would be pretty good.

I’m hoping for 4-0, but I’d settle for 3-1. Right now all that matters is beatin those Jets. Wont be easy, getting Moss will help, in alot of ways.

I got a good chuckle out of a Cris Carter quote.

“Moss knows ‘go deep’ better than anyone in the history of football,” Carter said. “I don’t care where everyone else is playing. If Brett says, ‘Hey, man, go deep,’ that part right there is easy to work out.

Remember…he didn’t make his living outrunning guys in Minny….his best work was on balls that were thrown into coverage that he made adjustment on and caught. Something Bernard Berrian has never heard of.

  3. Brett says:

Reporter: “Randy, would you take a question?”
Moss: “Everybody but Green Bay, homey. If you’re from Green Bay, the hell with you.”
    Reporter: “What about Milwaukee?”
Moss: “Nope. You’re part of Wisconsin, homey.”
