Frank Walker Expected To Join Defense

With Cedric Griffin tearing his ACL and once again starting down the long road to recovery, the Vikings needed to find some immediate help at the cornerback position.

Apparently they knew who they wanted.  Frank Walker.

The seven year veteran last played with the Baltimore Ravens.

(UPDATE:  It is official.  Walker is a Viking.  It is a one year deal at the veteran minimum.  He is wearing #41 in practice today.)

A blurb from the National Football Post earlier in the season, when the Ravens were considering resigning him.

“Walker was prone to penalties last season, particularly pass interference and defensive holding.

Walker has always been a player that Ravens coach John Harbaugh respects for his toughness and ability to run and play on special teams.”

His stats are unimpressive, so lets hope he has something to prove.
