Robison And Cook Practice

The season ending injury to starting cornerback Cedric Griffin sent a minor wave of disruption through the Vikings roster.

First, according to the NFL’s transaction page, veteran cornerback Frank Walker has officially signed with the Vikings.  Also, tight end John Nailbone was released from the practice squad and the Vikings re-signed cornerback Marcus Sherels to the practice squad.

In the area of good news, cornerback Chris Cook, who is expected to eventually replace Griffin in the starting lineup, was able to participate in practice on a limited basis on Wednesday.  Cook is attempting to recover from his second torn meniscus in as many months.

“First day out, of course I’m going to be kind of tentative, but I felt pretty good,” said Cook.

Brian Robison was also able to participate on a limited basis despite being knocked out of Monday’s game with an ankle sprain.

Brett Favre (ankle/elbow), John Sullivan (calf), Jamarca Sanford (back), and Chris DeGeare (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.  Sanford was doing some jogging and DeGeare was seen wearing a walking boot.

Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring) and Madieu Williams (shoulder) were both limited in practice on Wednesday along with Cook and Robison.

Stephen Colbert just said “Apple has developed antisexting technology… Brett Favre, you’re going to want a Droid.”

Now we know why Bud chose the way he did 🙂
