Moss Gave Halftime “Speech”

Randy Moss may have only had five catches for 55 yards in the Vikings victory on Sunday, but according to Brett Favre, it was Moss that may have turned the tide that gave the Vikings much needed momentum.

“He gave a great, I don’t know if you would call it a speech, to the team,” Brett Favre said of Moss’ halftime address. “Most people don’t think of Randy that way.”

“It was matter-of-fact and what we needed to hear. It wasn’t anything scientific. It was a couple of choice words that I’d rather not use, but I thought the guys responded well.”

Favre even went so far as to suggest that Percy Harvin’s 95 yard kick return at the beginning of the second half may be directly attributable to Moss’ words.

“I would like to think the kickoff return is because of that speech, and maybe it was,” Favre said.

Coach Brad Childress said Moss gave a speech with hopes of “bringing your own energy coming out of the locker room.”

“Randy was just saying, ‘Either we just stay on the field longer, or we just score in that short amount of time,'” Favre said. “Everyone has to take ownership of it, and once again it’s no secret to those things, but coach can come in and say those things over and over again and sometimes it’s in one ear and out the other. That’s just cause you hear it from that guy all the time.

“And if you hear it from a guy like Randy, you kind of see guys’ reactions like, ‘Yeah, you’re right.'”

Moss has been accused of a lot of things and called a lot of names over the years, but “team leader” might be a first as of Sunday.

Moss – “yo! Listen up y’all. My homeboy brent, is plum outta excuses for losin’. He promises if we win this one, no mo pictures of his junk gonna be showing up on the interweb”

Ole, my sources tell me it was more along the lines of… “I didn’t come here to be no bullsh– decoy. When we go back out there, I want the first two balls thrown my way or I start squirting referees. And if Brett don’t even have enough time to throw me a 5 yard out, I’m comin’ after a certain lineman with my own lead pipe.”

  3. Brett says:

    Hahaha Grant and Ole…

Seriously though… the media is going to EAT THIS UP… oh wait, no they won’t. This is positive Randy Moss… they don’t do that.

Some people just are focused on the negative. Look, Moss was a freakin jerk when he was with the Vikings the first time. He got sent to Siberia..also known as Oakland. That straightened him out. Then NE took a chance and let Moss earn his respect back again.

Look in the mirror if you want to see something negative dude.
