Vikings promote OT Brown to the active roster; put OG Herrera on IR

The Vikings have added OT Patrick Brown to the active roster and placed OG Anthony Herrera on injured reserve.

Herrera tore an ACL in his left knee in the Vikings 31-3 loss to the Packers on Sunday. The seventh-year veteran started every game this season at right guard for Minnesota. Brown is a first-year offensive tackle who was promoted from the practice squad.

    Buds,

A scouting report on your new o lineman please?

Why is his nickname The Swinging Gate?

    • B. Grant says:

Freds, he’s one step above Ryan Cook, the Missing Gate. There have been some good OL named Brown in the NFL, so I expect big things from this kid.

    Excellent analysis. Thank you.
