Philadelphia Wants a First Round Pick for QB Kevin Kolb

The Pioneer Press reports that the Eagles are looking for nothing less than a #1 pick for backup QB Kevin Kolb, who could be a target of the Vikings.

Eagles backup Kevin Kolb, who would be the Vikings’ best QB option among those expected to be available and who wants to be traded, probably would cost Minnesota a first-round draft pick. The Broncos are believed to be seeking a second-round pick for Kyle Orton, who is to be paid $8.5 million next season. The Vikings, who are without a third-round draft pick and have plenty of holes (safety, offensive and defensive line) to fill, can’t afford not to have first- and third-round picks in April’s draft. Compounding the Vikings’ QB predicament is that trades and free-agent signings are not allowed without an NFL labor agreement, and that deal expires on March 3.

His stats are not that impressive for a first round pick. Maybe if we had Edwards under contract I would say trade Edwards for him but I dont see giving up a first rounder for him

I’d rather have Orton. But Don’t want Vikes to give up any picks. And with no CBA there will be no trades for players, so I don’t know why everybody keeps bringing it up.

kolb reminds me a little of aaron rodgers, a little that is, not as mobile i dont think…now im not exactly for this move or against it i guess but if kolb was put into the draft right now where would he go? easily number 1

Maybe if the Eagles wanted to flip 1st round pick and throw Kolb in to get it done ~ Other wise I say NO to anything more than a 4th until he proves himself after signing a new contract thats fair to him and the Vikings for what he has done in the pros ~ If he plays lights out football in 2011 then throw in a 2nd next year ~
