I Need Some Help

Okay, first I want to say thanks to Matt for keeping us updated on all things Vikings (and all things razors) while I have been mostly absent over the last few weeks.

Usually when I am this inactive on Vikings Gab it is because I am on vacation or having some sort of major life event.  That hasn’t been the case this time around.

Right now is just a ridiculously busy time for yours truly on a number of fronts, and it pains me to neglect a blog that I take a ton of pride in hosting, but a guy has to prioritize the things in his life and right now Vikings Gab is taking a back seat for me.

Of course, the ongoing lockout B.S., petty money squabbles, hearing the constant threat that my favorite team will be moving, sexual abuse allegations, and listening to Ray Edwards’ crap doesn’t help keep me motivated.

So, here is what I would like to do to make sure Vikings Gab stays fresh with new content and opinion.  If you are interested in becoming Vikings Gab’s newest writer then please email me at adam@vikingsgab.com.  In your email, please include a brief bio of why you feel qualified and what you think your time commitment to this could be.

Of course, I plan to be back in full force eventually, but if this post can produce another quality writer or two to add to our site, then I think it can only benefit everybody in the long run.

As always, thanks to all of our readers for your loyalty and patronage!

Hope things are ok Adam. A word to the wise, though. No matter how desparate you are for a writer, do NOT choose Freds or Tomb. Lawsuits are very time consuming and expensive.

      Oh nice shot Coach!

    • Adam Warwas says:

      Things are good, Bud, thanks!

I consider myself lucky to have a job that is keeping me very, very busy and a family I love spending time with. These are good problems for me to have, it just means VG has to take a backseat for me for a while. But I think we have some exciting things coming up, and once things slow down life-wise, I’ll be right back at it like normal :)

Of course… this petty crap that seems continuous is not helping :)

I hear ya, Adam. Just had grandchild #4 enter the world this week, pretty darn sweet. So while great things like that are happening, it is downright hard to care about lockouts and restraining orders and DE’s threatening to become boxers. As guys like Killebrew turn in their equipment, a little more of me says to just ignore these clowns until its time to play some football.

You take care of your clan, young man. That’s what its all about. I don’t really have regrets at this age, but any more time I woulda spent with my youngsters would have been a good decision.

  2. Fragile Freds says:

First off, congrats to Freds old pal Buds on the birth of another grandchild. There is never enough time to celebrate one of these great gifts from God.

Second, rumor has reached Freds Fragile ears that AKs lovely bride has pulled an “owners lock out”….if you know what Freds saying. Freds heard a report from the Cory Povitch show that the following statements have been heard flying from a female voice from the Warwas igloo at 23 Frozen Oak Road:

    * “Ray Edwards this, Adrian Petersen that, I’m sick of it. Take out the damn trash”

    * ” Our son’s first words were, ” I better update my mock draft”, do you really think that is appropriate Adam?”

    * ” I don’t care what you do, just take down that stupid poster of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has an awful beard and he’s not even a Viking.”

    * ” This Viking blog isn’t bringing any money into this house, do you think you can go shoot an Elk for dinner and get off that damn computer?”

    * ” If you call me Percy one more time during one of our “sessions”, I’m going to kick you square in the seeds.”

    * ” Does it really matter, really? does it? Why would you even care if B.Grant wears his red flannel shirt or his blue flannel shirt? You won’t even see him today.”

Freds has no idea if these reports are true or not, but a few of them are a bit troubling. Freds thinks our guy could use a break and what better time than now? AK, get some rest. We appreciate your past work and look forward to your future articles.

Mrs AK….please, end your personal owners lockout… he could have called you Brad and not Percy.

    * “If you call me Roger Goodell one more ti

OMG Freds! Great to see you back in form. Thanks you made my day! LMAO!

    • B. Grant says:

Thanks, Freds. There’s nothin’ like this grandpa thing!

And just so you know, my purple flannel shirt is my favorite, and they’re dang hard to find, so Mrs. Grant launders it very carefully.

Tell me, though. You keep an attorney on retainer, right?

    • Adam Warwas says:

Haha, no, no, Freds, Mrs. Warwas doesn’t get the blame on this one my old pal. The season to work and play is very condensed up here in the last frontier. Got to get while the gettin’ is good.

The Fitzpatrick poster doesn’t come down by the way. Its framed… and bolted.
