Vikings in contact with WR Devin Aromashodu

Multiple Sources reporting Vikings have been in contact with Bears free agent WR Devin Aromashodu. Aromashodu is most known for his 150 yard game against the Vikings in 2009. In that game, he burned Winfield for the game winning TD in overtime.

Aromashodu stands 6’2, 201 lbs and is 27 years old

Aromashodu could add depth if Vikings lose Rice in free agency or if they decide to release Berrian.

Depth is no substitute for quality.

    • B. Grant says:

True, starrc, you gotta have playmakers (and a good OL!!)
Many average players = 1 average team.

      • starrc10 says:

What would happen if we took an offensive lineman in the first two rounds every year (theoretically different postions). Super bowl’s would come. But no franchise could ever do it because us fickle fans would be outraged.

        • B. Grant says:

A convert! Congratulations, starrc! Jerry Burns said he slept better with a good kicker on the roster. My sleep came from a good OL.

  2. Lost Viking says:

Wow. Joaquin Iglesias, Devin Aromashodu and Emmanuel Arceneaux in same receiving corps.

Greg Camarillo will never see the field!

    • B. Grant says:

… and I will never be able to spell our receivers in a post. Whatever happened to the days of White, Washington & Voigt? Moss, Reed, Carter? Those are names I can handle.

    • Jon says:

he’ll still be our solid punter catch, not much returning, but at least he catches em.

  3. Zag says:

    I’d take him over Berrian.

    There’s a two person cheer.

    “Can you smell the Aroma?!”

    “Sho’du!”

  5. Tomb... says:

Jenkies, anybody else reading the rumor that ol’ Tarvaris may replace Hasselbeck in Seattle?

Good luck to him. I liked his work ethic, but not his work results.

    • bigjohnny84 says:

Where did you hear that little nugget Tomb? If that’s the case the Seahawgs have my deepest sympathies.

      • Tomb... says:

        An update on PFT:

“O’Neil reports the Seahawks have reached agreement with another quarterback, negating their offer for Hasselbeck. We’re guessing that QB is Jackson.”

  6. Justin gallardo says:

Why do we not go after a good wr that wont cost alot…his name is….Mike Sims-Walker

  7. Randy says:

Update: ESPN reporting the Vikings are talking to the Redsins about Mcnabb. @AdamSchefter on twitter and also @nfcnorthblog are the sources.
This would to me at least be a good move. I really think that Ponder and Webb need to sit and learn some more. I think we are still a superbowl team, and bringing in Mcnabb will help us the best. Ponder will be good and will be our QB just not now. We need a SuperBowl to get a stadium

    • Randy says:

Plus I think he would help us keep Rice, Money means a lot to people but so does Winning. I would Take McNabb over T-Jack(who has signed with the seahawks)

  8. COVikefan says:

talking does not equal signing – I can only hope they’re talking to FA WR’s to do their homework on the market so they can get Rice signed. A-rom (since I can’t spell whatever his name is) is just another average receiver, dime a dozen, we have plenty of them.
