Branden Lemke’s 10 Bold Predictions: #3; Adrian Peterson Finishes Top 3 In Rushing Yards (NFL), And #1 In The NFC.

Adrian Peterson is arguably the best running back in the NFL. At first glance, this may not seem like too bold of a prediction. Let me explain why it is.

The NFL is more of a “pass-first” league these days, but there are still plenty of young, talented running backs. A few names that come to mind are Jamaal Charles (KC), Ray Rice (BAL), Chris Johnson (TEN), Arian Foster (HOU), Maurice Jones-Drew (JAC), Peyton Hillis (CLE), and of course, our very own Adrian Peterson. There always seems to be quite an entertaining race towards the end of the year for the NFL rushing title. It’s anybody’s game.

Adrian Peterson won the NFL rushing title in 2008 with 1,760 yards, but since then has finished no better than 5th in the NFL in rushing yards  during a regular season. I think a big reason why that is is because he has played through injuries in several games over the past two years (but still seems to do pretty darn good out there each Sunday).

I think this year, Adrian will prove why he is the best running back in the league. I think he will finish at least top 3 in the NFL in rushing yards, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he won the NFL rushing title for the 2nd time. I think he will beat out the likes of Michael Turner, Frank Gore, and anyone else who tries to chase him in the NFC. I think he’ll be the NFC’s leading rusher next season, and hopefully, the NFL’s as well.

Come on now Lemke. Bold shmold….come on man!

Is number 2. “Brad Childress won’t coach the Vikings this year”?

Show Freds something. Be BOLD !

    For example:

    – Brian McKinnie will be resigned by the Vikings, win the offensive player of the year and weigh 185 by September 1st. See, that wasn’t so tough….be Bold buddy!

  2. titan concrete says:

I agree. He has finished top 5 3 of his 4 years here, and the other year he was number 6. Maybe since he isnt known for great hands, to predict that he will be at the top of the pack in receiving yards from running backs would be bold. Keep in mind that Mcnabb LOVES dumping them off to the running backs!

  3. c.carterhof says:

titan is right. I predict that AP will have 1892 yards receiving.

    • B. Grant says:

An average of 120 yards receiving per game. Now THAT’s a bold prediction! The excessive heat has been hard on all of us, cart.

      • titan concrete says:

The problem is he will only have 1.4 yards per catch, so he will lead the league in receptions with 1351.

When do the bold predictions start?

“I think this year, Adrian will prove why he is the best running back in the league.”

Why? Because you want him to? Build a case! This carries no more weight than you saying for the last month that “there’s no way the Vikings will let Sidney Rice go, he’s too good.”

    • Branden Lemke says:

i did explain why. that’s what the article is about… and that was the reason in a nutshell the Vikes would try to re-sign Rice. also said he’s 25 and has plenty of years left, and wrote a whole article on that too.
