I can’t imagine him being welcome there for long!

  2. Justin gallardo says:

Wow that sucks…besides the vikings i also like the ravens…i cant get rid of him.. He is like a

  3. Norseman66 says:

The Raven’s are becoming the old Vikings graveyard. Mckinnie,Birk….
Any word on the whereabouts his personal trainer went to? I think he ate him!

  4. Ted Brown 23 says:

Seriously? If his playing weight is 335 how is he going to lose 65 pounds and be in condition to play anytime this season?

  5. bigjohnny84 says:

He’ll be damn lucky to pass the physical.

    • CalVkg says:

johnny, i’ll bet they know what they’re getting and if they want him bad enough, the physical might be to eat 12 BK whoppers in 15 minutes and they’ll pass him through

      • bigjohnny84 says:

Cal I’m just glad he’s the Ravens problem now. The Minnesota food industry is gonna take a big hit tho.

  6. Norseman66 says:

Maybe him landing on the east coast today was the cause of the earthquake.

This is good news. Plantar-fasciitis is not that big a deal. Dont get me wrong, its kinda painful and it sucks but it can be dealt with pretty easy.

  8. Lost Viking says:

Bryant McKinnie was released by the Viking on Aug. 2 after reporting to camp at more than 390 pounds.

Its also been reported he showed up at 386 pounds. His playing weight is listed as 335 but he played showed up and played at 360 pounds. His plan was to come to camp below 360 and play at 340 to 345 pounds.
Internet reports that he’s currently at 360 pounds don’t seem plausible and he’s not saying.

McKinnie can no longer be considered an athlete. Raven have invested the veteran minimum in a wide body tackle they are prepared to bring into an athletic program in an attempt to re-store and re-condition.

Hard to believe VikingGabbers were the only ones skeptical of McKinnie’s intent to lose five pounds playing tennis. McKinnie has no respect for himself, his team or the game. As for Ozzie and the great Raven Reclamation they’d have better luck with a Honda or Subaru.

  9. Lost Viking says:

OK, must be bored if I’m reading Bob Sansevere list of the five best left tackles in Viking history

Question: Is he deliberately leaving Korey Stringer off the list to get a rise or is he plain stupid?

Answer: Probably just stupid. Todd Steussie was Viking Right Tackle before his steroid problems.

    Good grief.

    • Fragile Freds says:

Didn’t dude play right tackle? Thus, not on the list? Maybe Freds is wrong on this one. Doubt it though.

  10. Ole says:

Good grief Lost, are you suicidal? Sansevere!?! Quick, get to ESPN and get a dose of Seifert asap!

…….and please stay away from bridges tonight …..

  11. Vikadan11 says:

I’m happy for him and hope he gets his life straighten out ~ But He was set in his ways with the Vikings ~ Maybe this will be his wake up call ~ ?

  12. 4eversteve says:

I bet the Ravens had to fly him in on a cargo plane, do they really expect him to pass his physical?

  13. bigjohnny84 says:

McKinnie passes his physical, I guess miracles never cease.

    • Purple Charlie says:

Like you told Cal, He’s their problem now. He just never seemed like he had his heart in it…

Hope Charlie Johnson comes into his own for the Vikes.

    • Purple Charlie says:

Also saw Kevin Williams has Plantar fasciitis and might get him sentence heduce to 2 weeks…

Is that something you have to work though and rest or can they do something for it???

  14. Fragile Freds says:

BJohnny you are a bitter bitter man. So a guy comes into camp a couple extra pounds over his goal, what’s a cool 4 bills between teammates?

Just for the record, all Brian “Chunky chocolate please” McInnley had to do to pass his physical was scratch his elbow. Birk must be thrilled.

Our offensive line is a complete joke. All of them, yes even Hutchingson. We haven’t invested crap in the draft in years.

If we think back to when Bob Smith was drafted from Ohio State in’93, in each of the next two years the Vike drafted with a number one pick an offensive lineman. Since Adrian Peterson was drafted, we spend a number 2 on Phil Loadholt and a bunch of 6, 7 and 8th rounders hoping on top of hope that we find the next Matt Birk. Instead, we find cornholes like Cook, Sullivan, Herrera, Love and Slippery Rock State Guy.

We have the best RB in football, we could have done without Toby Geahart, Kyle Rudolph, Tyrone Johnson etc. Freds thinks that Gehart and Rudolph will be fine players, but enough low draft choice lineman with “position flexibility” . Let’s find one that has NO flexibility and can only play guard, tackle or center and play it well. We are surrounding AP will skill players and he needs lineman who can stay on a diet and open holes.

Hey Ziggy, wake up jackass! Sorry about the jackass Zig, but come on man. And by the way, Spielman, stay the hell off Freds Vikings preseason broadcast and go find some damn offensive lineman.

  15. Fragile Freds says:

    Bjohnny –

It pains your old pal Fragile to agree with that crotchety old bastard, but when he’s right, he’s right.

    • bigjohnny84 says:

Haha looks like it’s back to Coachs shitlist for you. Remember his blood pressure now Freds.

      • Purple Charlie says:

I don’t think he is ever going to come off it Johnny!!! lol…

      • B. Grant says:

While Freds generally remains on this coach’s list of displeasure, I’m going to take his latest reference to me as a compliment, knowing it is about as close to one as he will ever deliver. Besides, I find myself mostly agreeing with him as well when it comes to the lack of drafting for the offensive line. I do not however, consider Owner Wilf to be the south end of a north bound mule.

And thanks johnnie, my blood pressure remains in check. I’m giving Denzel and his staff some time to work with this OL crew crew, and I’m giving Freds the freedom to express his opinions as needed. Hopefully, it will prevent a further dive into his Colt 45 supply.

  16. Malte says:

    Quote from startribune:
Larry Dean. He’s small at 6-foot, 226 pounds. But last year’s D-II Defensive Player of the Year is instinctive, fast and just puts himself around the ball. He could surprise people if he can latch on as a special teamer

  17. Coach B says:

Wow ! When you said he landed in Baltimore……I was concerned for the people of Maryland ! That’s like an Atomic bomb going off ! I mean, Wow ! That alot of weight ! I wonder how long he will last with the Ravens giving his usual lazy slug effort ???
