Bernard Berrian recently restructured his contract with the Vikings which, in part, helped the team get underneath the salary cap in time for Friday’s deadline. According to PFT, the Vikings are now $938,000 under the salary cap. The Vikings staff have expressed confidence that Berrian will have a big year in 2011, but it could [...]

A training camp move: Vikings have added DT Colby Whitlock from Texas Tech and release WR Ryan Lincoln. Vikings were short on WR until Thursday’s practice when Jenkins, Aromashodu, and Berrian were able to practice. Vikings released a WR and added another camp body to the d-line.
Training Camp So Far
Thanks to Twitter and compilations of information (like this one over at 1500 ESPN) even those that reside in the far reaches of the globe (like yours truly) can get up-to-the-minute progress reports from Mankato. It has been two days since I have updated my impressions (via the impression of others) of how things are [...]

Posted in 2011 Free Agency, Main, News, Offseason, Opinions, Roster Moves One day after releasing left tackle Bryant McKinnie, the Vikings have decided to re-sign a familiar face, according to Judd Zulgad. A Continued Theme Defines Frazier’s Philosophy
Leslie Frazier is making his mark on the Vikings roster during his first offseason. Even more so, he is making a statement about the team philosophy moving into the future. After Bryant McKinnie showed up to training camp looking like he actually swallowed Lil Kim whole, Frazier and company were displeased enough with McKinnie that [...]
Back From Vacation
Hey guys, I am back from my South Dakota trip (which was awesome, by the way), and even though I’m new to the site, I really want to thank Adam and Randy for the job they did when I was gone. There was a lot to report, and those two really rocked it out! I [...]
Mount McKinnie’s Stay In Minny Is Over
Multiple sources including PFT are reporting that starting left tackle Bryant McKinnie has been cut by the Minnesota Vikings. Wow. Yesterday, we knew something was up when McKinnie was placed on the non-football injury list. McKinnie was set to make a base salary of $4.9 million this year, including a $1 million roster bonus. Leslie [...]
Favorite Moss Moment
Upon hearing about the retirement of Randy Moss I immediately wanted to sit down and write an ode of sorts to the player that changed the face of the modern NFL. I wasn’t able to do it, partly because I am mostly convinced that the Moss era isn’t finished quite yet. Moss was about as [...]
