Vikings Put Claim in on FB

According to Adam Schefter, the Vikings were 1 of 3 teams to put a claim on Lions FB Jerome Felton. He was rewarded to the Panthers.

The Vikings don’t look like they are happy with the Fullbacks on the roster. Ryan D’Imperio and Matt Asiata both are competing for the job but neither has looked good so far. Vikings might ultimately choose to keep an extra TE and not a FB if they can’t find another option.

They had a chance to sign NUMEROUS fullbacks in free agency……but choose instead to give the job to a converted linebacker that they wasted a 5th round draft pick on

Mike, D’Imperio was actually a seventh round draft pick.

I think they would be better served by forgoing a fullback on the roster and instead retaining TE Allen Reisner. Betwen Reisner, Dugan, and Kleinsasser, we should have plenty of able-bodied corn-fed white boys to block for AP.

I love fullbacks and would love to carry one on our roster, but we don’t have a true fullback on this team. Let a TE do the job for now, or else we’ll probably risk losing Reisner because I can’t see us keeping 4 TEs.
