Viking fan continue to beat down on SeaHawg Offense.

Understandably, we didn’t see much from them a couple of weeks back. But this 49’er wouldn’t be favored to post a win an inter-squad game.

carterhof needs to show some respect to former Viking buddies in Seattle

      • c.carterhof says:

You’re right Lost, I should show a little respect.

Maybe “thump” was a bit too much. But its T-Jack, T-Jack!!! For the love of pete, you pay 4 milllion dollars and name him your starter? Really? They do not deserve to win one single game.

  2. Malte says:

Branden? You know that Manning is hurt right? 🙂

  3. B. Grant says:

With the Vikings playing one of the upper tier teams in the NFL on the road without Kevin Williams and with a number of new faces in various positions, there is little chance of the Vikings winning this game. I like the optimism, and look forward to seeing us play, but winning is quite unlikely. (This is not being pessimistic, this is being realistic.) I would love to be wrong, but I can’t see the reasons to pick us to win. Other than the chance that the Eagles would lose to the Rams, a Viking win would be the biggest upset of the week.

  4. Purple Faithful says:

  6. B. Grant says:

Hello? Is this thing on? Was there a memo I missed?

  7. Lost Viking says:

You’ve heard from Randy and Branden on their picks. You’ve checked ESPN for experts picks:
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks

Still, you’re a little unsure about Viking game. This is where our ol’ buddy the Handle checks in for you:

    LINE: SAN DIEGO BY 8½

Charger were tops in both offence and defense statistically last year yet managed to miss the playoffs. While we expect this behavior to stop at some point, we currently don’t have the confidence to be giving away prohibitive points with this erratic host.

    TAKING: VIKING +8½

  8. Lost Viking says:

Handle has agreed to give the Gabbers a couple of more Opening Day picks:

    Wild Card Pick
    Cincinnati +6½ over CLEVELAND

It’s easy to bang on the Bengal. Dysfunctional doesn’t begin to describe what goes on in Cincinnati annually. As much as Eagle were overhyped before this season, the Bengal were the complete opposite in that they’ve been the target of disgrace by every media outlet there is.

How bad has it been? Carson Palmer left 10 million on the table. Palmer basically paid over 10 million dollars to not be associated with this team any more and now Andy Dalton steps in. Dalton is talented but he’s still a rookie with not a lot of offensive weapons.

Thing is, Brownie pass rush was non-existent a year ago and they didn’t do much to improve. Give any NFL QB time and he’ll succeed. Having rid of its malcontents and having the chance to face its in-state rivals, this Cincy team can expel their humiliation with a solid effort here. Brownie are under new direction in 2011 with head coach Pat Shurmur at the helm. The Brown appear to be improving but not enough to warrant this big of a tag as a divisional favorite. Cleveland has suffered some significant pre-season injuries, they still lack quality wide-outs and they have a lot more to prove before they can be endorsed laying points like this.

    TAKING: Cincinnati +6½

    Seahawk at 49er

    LINE: SAN FRANCISCO BY 5½

Thank goodness for Sunday Ticket. These two could be even worse than last season. The only saving grace for either is that they play in a weak division and that they get to play each other twice. Not prepared to spot any points with Alex Smith and this inept Niner offence.

    TAKING: SEAHAWK +5½

  9. c.carterhof says:

Good to see the Handle again Lost. Ah yes, football is here. The weather is turning cooler, I could hear the announcer last night from the jr. hi school just down the road, where I used to play. Aint it great?

If you need a good laugh check this out-

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/09/tarvaris-jackson-called-captain-composure/

I got a good chuckle out of it.

  10. Lost Viking says:

Love the comment that received the most ‘thumbs up’ of all the responses to the article. Here it is,

“I’m a Viking fan and I don’t understand all the hate from other Viking fans. All this young man has ever done is work is ass off to be the best he can be. He doesn’t shoot his mouth off , he has handled all the crap thrown at him with dignity and by all accounts is a pretty decent person. While I do think he’ll never be much more than a backup, I hope he does great and proves me wrong. There are certainly a lot less deserving players out there to vent your anger at.”

In Seattle, T-Jax is getting a mulligan for all his time in Minnesota. Can’t do better than that.

  11. I’m regretting picking the Colts… don’t know why I did.. But, a pick’s a pick. too late now. Go Colts!!!
