Vikings Roster Changes

The Vikings have added TE Allen Reisner to their 53 man roster and waived OL Seth Olsen according to multiple sources.

Vikings had 10 offensive lineman on their 53 man roster and Tom Pelissero stated Vikings will likely activate 7 OLineman so cutting one isn’t a big surprise. With no FB and likely to run multiple TE sets, the Vikings made a choice to promote Reisner.

I could almost hear that big sigh of relief at winter park when Reisner cleared the waiver wire. I’ll bet they were sweating that one out.

Don’t agree with waiving Seth Olsen. Played well during exhibition. Beat out Ryan Cook for the position. Seemed to have good zone blocking technique ….

So we can bring an additional body in on special teams??

Could there be other reasons Olsen was released….especially if he won his position during the preseason….seems strange.

Didn’t someone say a while back that we had too many OL anyway???
