Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams has been fined $15,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com reports.
Williams was flagged on the play, which occurred with 1:55 to play in the third quarter of the Vikings’ 39-10 loss last Sunday.
Pelissero notes that Williams was also flagged $7,500 for a helmet-to-hit on Cutler last December.
Between Williams’ two-game suspension for a 2008 violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy, which was accompanied by the loss of two additional game checks, Williams has forfeited $1.426 million of his $6 million base salary in 2011.
ok, ok, kev, we know you’re all pizzed off and everything, but you’re gettin paid now and it’ll all be forgiven if you concuss rodgers and put him outta the game in the first quarter. then we might have a chance to win. and mangle whoever that stupid cheeze back-up QB is, too
we love you, man. so does leslie. we love jared, too. and robison. not so much the guy from the saints, tho – not yet at least. but if he kills rodgers on sunday that’s at least worth instant infatuation
K-Will is the heart and soul of the Vike.
Just got to let it go. Live for another Sunday.
