CB Chris Cook Arrested

Cornerback Chris Cook was arrested on 2 accounts of domestic assault charges. Cook is being held without bail at Hennepin County Jail. There’s a good chance that Cook won’t be able to get out of jail until he can see a judge on Monday.

Vikings will more than likely have to go with Cedric Griffin and Asher Allen as their starting cornerbacks against Green Bay since Winfield is already doubtful for Sunday. Marcus Sherels will take over nickel duties and rookie Brandon Burton should be active for the 1st time this year. Tough spot to be in for the Vikings going against one of the leagues top passing attacks.

Wonderful . . . Is this guy the second coming of Fred Smoot???

  2. Lost Viking says:

Let’s hope Chris’ girlfriend/spouse is OK.

Don’t expect Cook to start Sunday; assuming Vike bail his a$$ out of jail.

  3. Lost Viking says:

Chris Cook takes out his aggression on his significant other.

Too bad he seems to miss the opportunity to put a beating on opposition receivers. He’s been giving the bigger guys a free inside this season.

Anybody know what the TV reception is like inside County jail on Sundays?

  4. Gary says:

Bobby Bowden would have him out already, actually the cops would have called him to the scene first, worked out a deal and brought him home with him for the weekend! From what I have read, being held without bail means he will be watching the game from a 6 x 9 suite with its own bathroom…..What more can possibly go wrong…..

  5. Skol12 says:

I was half joking earlier this year when I said cook could be good if he stays out of jail, I guess its no longer a joke. By the way was the arresting officer wearing a packer hat?

    • titan concrete says:

Im guessing that the last thing that the packers are worried about is the vikings secondary. Maybe he was wearing a vikings hat??? If so, he is going to have a very busy weekend arresting all of the poor performers on the secondary.

That spielman does have an eye for talent, doesn’t he?

  7. Byebyezigi says:

Change the jerseys to prison orange and move them to LA.

  8. krugjr says:

you all remember that Cook draft? another nail in spielman’s coffin!

  9. Gary says:

We have all wanted to strangle somene at some point in our life time, but we just couldnt afford too…….He could!

    • Gary says:

The Vikes need to cut this guy right now. Too bad we couldnt read into the future last week and got a good trade deal with him. If the Vikes dont get rid of this distraction, they have more problems in the front office than we know about.

      • Byebyezigi says:

Don’t buy them a stadium buy them a cell block. Seems that the Vikes make the news for their behavior not their play. People like Cook embarrass the rest of the team and the fans. Pathetic emotional immaturity.

I am guessing the girlfriend is afraid the gravey train will stop if she presses charges. Talk to OJ’s wife.

        • Gary says:

The stadium issue is a joke to start with…..It dont take 1.1 billion dollars to build a stadium..Unless image is more important than winning….There is absolutly nothing wrong with the dome other than it has a roof on it…..Take off the roof, wrap some heat tape on the pipes, and play some real football….

  10. Gary says:

    #1 I love the Dome
#2 I dont live up there
#3 It dont take 1.1 Billion for a stadium
#4 If Goodell is going to take teams overseas, have them build the Vikings a new stadium
#5 Unless they are trying to keep up with the Jones’s,Refer to #3

    • Gary says:

What sucks th most is, the Vikings only come to Tampa every 6 years. They wont be here until 2014 season I believe, being Vikes/Bucs just played up there this year. The Bucs owner is going to take his team overseas as much as he can. If the Vikes start doing that too, I will have to find a different team to start being a fan.I dont know of 1 fan of any team who wants to see what that idiot Goodell is trying to do…..Hopefully people will start boycotting football altogether just to prove a point…..We dont want our teams going overseas to play games…Goodell is going to continue to destroy our game…He is another Gadahfi….

    • Byebyezigi says:

I agree. The owner is a billionaire. His family is the largest private construction company in North America. They want to have us buy him a stadium so his construction company can benefit.

I am not gonna pay for a billionaire to get a building for his business and his millionaire players. In an economy with 10 percent unemployment it doesn’t make sense.

I would go for it if the stadium was built by Minnesota companies (headquarters here for last 5 years or more) and have 15 year contracts for all services. No virtual companies of owners or owners friends. Huge penalties for corruption, etc.

Given the probability of that, move on Vikes.

      • Gary says:

There is a proposal somewhere to allow Britts full time visas if they come here and buy up all these homes in foreclosure. Wont be long and they get visas to live here if they buy season tickets to our game..
Here is a much better idea. We teach them the game with the rules of the NFL, they form their own league, and their Superbowl team plays ours…..As far as the Vikings go, I just really hope the State can keep the name, if ziggy decides to go out west. Minnesota will get another team without a doubt. I can even write the ad for craigs list: WANTED, NFL team in Minnesota, FREE BUILDING…….

  11. Byebyezigi says:

Yes! Another day for Cook to think about his actions. LOL. I think he looks good in orange.

  12. Byebyezigi says:

Cook is a future wife beater. The Vikes have the highest arrest record since 2000 with 36 arrests. We lead the league with some stat anyway. Don’t buy them a stadium, buy them a cell block.
