Vikings avoid local TV blackout for Saints game on Sunday

The Minnesota Vikings have sold enough tickets for this Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints to lift a local television blackout, Vikings Vice President of Sales & Marketing Steve LaCroix announced.

Minnesota has not had a television blackout since the 1997 season, a sellout streak that now reaches 143 home games.

The 2-11 Vikings have one home game remaining on their 2011 schedule. The Vikings host the Chicago Bears on January 1.

First off Verizon sucks. Second off this is a football site, not a advertising site. I think I will find another Vikings site to chat on if you are going to start advertising products here!! Oh ya where did my comment go on the advertising post and why are comments now blocked on that post. Vikings gab is really starting to suck. blocking comments and not letting us post comments really sucks!!!! No advertising on a football site!!!!!!!!!!

This corporate buy out is crap. It is not the fans, and should not be allowed. Behind the scenes deals are made when this happens, beacause there is alot of money to be lost. TV station gets lowere advertising fees, team gets less from advertising. Phony sellout streak continues and falsely inflates team value.

I forgot to add, let the corporations get together and build the stadium.

How the Twins doing in the new stadium?
