Saints Targeted Adrian’s Ankle?

Hit ’em in their weak spot – and the ankle was the spot where Saint defenders targeted Adrian Peterson last Sunday.

One play in particular stood out, where Saints cornerback Jabari Greer twisted his ankle in a pile-up.

“Guys are going to try to take their shots when we’re on the pile and try to twist it up and things like that,” Peterson said, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Peterson says he confronted Greer because he thought that “it kind of got overboard.”

“I got up and kind of got in his face. Thank God I was able to keep my composure,” he said, according to the Times-Picayune.

Fortunately, Peterson said he didn’t injure the ankle any further in the team’s 42-20 loss to New Orleans.

Peterson shouldn’t be playing!!!! Shut down Percy too, and J. Allen.

As I partially agree with you wtfvikesfan, it won’t happen. These 3 are pretty much the heart and soul of this team. They may be limited but they won’t allow it to happen. This is another reason I have faith that we will bounce back next year, with leaders like this. They are willing to play like it’s for the Superbowl even when they are out of it. Hopefully Frazier has a sit down with some of these guys and they let him know what we need as a team going forward. down by 20 points and J.A. is playing like they are only down by 1!!! That is what we need more of!!!

It is common knowledge that if players know where an injury is they go for it but we all know the saints are dirty players – game in 2009 stands out as a shining example.
