WR Greg Camarillo Will Not Be Back

Slow day so far but the youth movement has started in Minnesota. Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press reported that the Vikings have informed Veteran WR Greg Camarillo that he will not be back with the team next year. This is of no surprise since Camarillo is a free agent and never really found his place on the team. Camarillo returned a few punts and caught only 29 balls in 2 years with the Vikings after catching 50+ in back to back seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

This guy has a career of being with crappy quarterbacks. I think he is very under rated and under utilized. Poor decision letting him walk. Cheap target with some of the surest hands in the nfl. Lowest drop percentage in the NFL among active players. 4.6 second 40.VERY clean route runner. Not going to be a big game changer, but if you throw it his way ( which wasnt done enough) hes probably going to catch it.

That’s true but he is naturally a slot receiver and Percy is filling that role. The $700,000 he made last year will be better spent elsewhere.

Lets hope Percy is filling that role….as of now, he isn’t. In this league, $700,000 is a pretty good price for a guy with his hands.
