Just Incase We Need a PG, We Have One

Well the Vikings are surely doing their due diligence on players and according to ESPN1500 they have sign a ex-Florida International University point guard. Yes I said it right, a point guard. Listed at 5’10, 165 lbs, Nick Taylor has stated that the Vikings have signed him to a futures/reserve contract.

Tom Pelissero states that Taylor spent some time in an arena league last year and worked out at FIU pro day where he was clicked at a 4.34 and a 4.27 40 yard dash. Taylor will be a long shot to make the roster but will get a look at cornerback, receiver and punt returner.

Holy cow, what is it coming to???
Bring back Brock Lesnar why don’t you.
    We need CB’s, not want-to-be CB’s
    Go Vikes

I love it 100% ~ Thss guy has KR written all over him ~ You can turn a blind eye to that kind of speed ~ If he makes it great if he doesn’t no big deal ~ But if he makes the team and turns into one of the better return men the Vikings will be looking very good on this move ~ The lose nothing if he is cut ~

I wonder what his high just was ~ ? Remember Spud Webb who played for NFC and went on the play 7 or 8 seasons in the NFL ~ He was like 5’8″ but he had no trouble slam dunking ~

I’m not saying this kid is in the mold of Spud ~ But the Vikings wouldn’t know it if they didn’t give him a chance ~ If he only becomes a ST ace it will be a story retold for years to come ~

    Holdovers from Viking 2010 Roster:

    Offense

    QBs – 2
    Backs – 3
    O line – 2
    Receivers – 1

    Defense

    DBacks – 5 or 6 (Abdullah)
    LBs – 2
    D line – 5 or 6 (Evans)

    Special Teams – 3

    Total = 25
plus VikingJohn = 26 guys plus entire new coaching staff

Yeah, whatever. I think the Vikings should draft Claiborne. With Cook, and Winfield, and a new safety or two, vastly improves team. More so than a LT to “protect Ponders blind side for the next 10 years” You want to protect his blindside, give him a diaper and sit him on the bench and let Webb play, the true QBOF and winner of each challenge he’s faced. I’d love a guy who will intercept passes and run them back. It would inspire Cook and others. We need that WAY more than elite LT. Get LT in 2nd round. And get some people to throw to. All I hear is this LT BS and no one mentions WR. (3rd round)

Well I’m happy your not the GM ~ Webb is avg. once his running lanes are taken away ~ That was proven in 2010 when the Lions knew they would be facing him and it happen in 2011 when the Bear had a good idea they would be facing him ~ Webb is not the answer ~

That being said I wouldn’t get upset if the Vikings drafted Claiborne or Kalil~Blackmon ~ A good case can be made for any of the 3 ~

But to pretend that protect Ponders\Webb’s blindside isn’t just as important is over looking one of the most important part of the offense ~ Plus Kalil will help open the running for Gerhart and Peterson once he returns ~
